Life, Love, and Time—A Poetic Journey Through Wonder, Regret, and Becoming
By Pallavi Tripathi, Durg (C.G.)
Summary :
These poems explore the fleeting nature of life, urging the reader to live consciously, let go of regrets, and embrace the present. Through reflective monologues and metaphor-rich wanderings, they examine love, identity, growth, decay, and human connection. Blending philosophy, emotion, and existential curiosity, the collection turns ordinary moments into profound reflections. Let’s enjoy these poems in detail-
Why fret?
You were born one day
someday you’ll die
that’s a fact no one can deny
be as it may
why fret?
life’s too short to have regrets
Even if you do- still, do something kind and learn the art of letting go
otherwise before you know it
the infinite loop of wishing the past to change will grab you, suffocate you in ways strange
don’t let yourself get hit
Future will be, may be an illusion
don’t waste the right now in confusion
live and let live
believe and achieve
life may make you suffer
it’s full of wonders
in yonder it’ll make you ponder
Do ponder, everything that bothers
isn’t a trouble, it’s a puzzle try solving, fail solving, succeed solving, don’t give up solving
Don’t let anyone muzzle; dazzle
go on adventures of yearning

Truly, Madly, Deeply
Looking at the dark night moon,
my mind not attuned
brought the train of queries.
I muttered, “Oh! what dreary, dearie.
Wouldn’t you let me rest?
What lies in your vest?”
Replied he, “Life’s wonders.”
“Pardon me?” I stutter.
Answered he, “Life’s marvel
that you’ll unravel,
if not completely,
then closely, intimately.
Through trial & error you’ll implore
little by little you’ll find more & explore.
Without slackening,
find the meaning it’s a journey worth essaying.”
I relieved a sigh,
waiting for tomorrow’s rye.

Meanderings 1
Listening to songs on an online radio
Mind tuned to frequency unknown
Gathers analogy of life in it’s levity
How a single chord makes you moan, alas groan
Song switches, mind wanders
In speed unexplored
Like muse of the music I’m bemused
By tangible meaning implored
Look, read, think, emote- verb
Pointing to the noun,
The subject that can’t find object
Changing herself on every turn; such turd
Implicating the treachery of song
In reels of real life forlorn.

Meanderings 2
From the womb of ashes of time
An infant is born
Unconscious of life or cacophonous grime
It begins to come together; a sense of life borne
Squeal at first
Crawl second
Begins a journey of voices, letters, words to thunderous burst
Walk, run, drive, swim, fly- ashes reckon
Cycle of growth, decay, regrowth
From grey cells to others
Changing, transforming on works; troth
A shadow now taking over- black swan; winning/loosing; pother
Fight, tedious fights – a dance of Butoh
Soon the ashes take over!

Meanderings 3
And what is love?
Kid sucking mama’s nipples
dad dreaming child’s dreams
Couple holding hands
kissing, hugging, making love
protected, unprotected act of killing loneliness
gender fluid, …ual fluid, race neutral
act of passion;
fickle, at times long-lasting gust
act of starting family
leaving family
taking steps together forever× as-long-as-one-can
Settling not for anything less than the best
As all shall be buried in splendour cemetery of time
