Sulochana – “What was that mantra? Would you like to share with our audience?”
Deepak – Yes, that was a mantra of five letters – MMMMT! In this the first M means mind. That means whatever work we have to do, we have to do it mindfully. The second M means money! You all know that without money i.e. financial investment, no industry can open or run. So, I tried to keep track of my income and expenses in a cost-effective manner. There were obstacles but we did not lose courage but tried to overcome those obstacles and find the best way. Now let me explain the meaning of the third M. Actually, it is a symbol of M Management i.e. management. Whatever work we do, we do it with complete preparation and making better use of our resources. In this mantra the fourth M means modification. We keep modifying our products continuously. We continuously work on innovative ideas to make them more useful to the public by reviewing their shortcomings. T comes at the end of this mantra. T means time. We try to achieve the targets of our industry within time. If any work is not done on time, it has no meaning. Hence, we keep managing our raw material, our working strength, production and delivery keeping time in mind. The result that came from adopting this mantra is in front of you all!
Sulochana – This means you earned five crore rupees using the Panchakshari formula. Well, wow! Wonderful! Now tell us about your family!
Deepak – My father started this work from a small room. He used to work hard day and night but due to a lack of the right direction and conditions, he was not able to make much progress. He is very good at heart. Many clever people took advantage of his innocence. They cheated my father badly. Whatever they were able to earn from this, it was difficult to even survive, let alone the thought of running an industry. While being busy with household chores, my mother would occasionally help out with her father’s work whenever she had free time. But due to a lack of adequate training, their work skills were not being developed as per the demand of the times. We worked hard to remove all these shortcomings and whatever problems there were, we worked hard to remove them in due time. My parents kept teaching me from their experiences, which greatly benefited our industry. Then I did a six-month certificate course in packaging work and before taking over my home-based industry, I gathered information and studied all the aspects related to it through the net, books, discussions etc. Only then could this work be accomplished!
Sulochana – Has any interesting incident happened to you while working in the last five years? Would you like to share it with us?
Due to this question, some lines appeared on Deepak’s face but they changed into a smile as soon as the memory of that incident became fresh. He said smilingly – Once I received a call from a client. On the mobile, he asked me if he could get the cardboard box. That day the network seemed a bit dead. I thought he needed a box for the dog. I told him politely – Sir! We do not make dog crates! Why are you making such a strange request? Then the person in front understood that I could not hear his voice call properly. Then he sent me a message and then somewhere I understood that he wanted a cardboard box and not a dog. We still laugh remembering this incident.
Sulochana – Your story is very interesting and inspiring. Now what are you thinking of doing next?
Deepak – The present era is vocal for locals. Our products are used by people making bakeries, confectioners, shoes etc. from Kanpur to Indore. We understand their needs and provide them with products as per their interests and suggestions. Due to this they readily adopt our products. They are happy, we are also happy!
Sulochana – Let’s go! The weather outside is also becoming pleasant! The organizers of the award distribution ceremony have made wonderful arrangements for tea and snacks for the media persons and guests. Come, let us make the stomach happy in this happy environment.
Hearing this, all the guests and media persons present there along with Sulochana and Deepak started laughing.
